This undated photo of the rear and east side of the Sarah Bousfield House may have been taken soon after construction of the house was completed in 1884. Kentucky (West 38th) Street was scheduled to be paved with Medina sandstone in the spring or summer of 1884. That road work does not appear to have yet been completed when this photo was taken. In any event, the photo was certainly taken no later than 1888 when the vacant lot seen to the right of the Bousfield House became occupied by the newly constructed Wiedeman House at 3812 Franklin Boulevard. | Source: Patrick Wilhelm, a third great grandson of John and Sarah Bousfield
