Julian Eltinge

Julian Eltinge
Eltinge was arguably the best known female impersonator of the Vaudeville era. He came to Cleveland in 1912, appearing in “The Fascinating Widow” at the Euclid Avenue Opera House. That same week, he also engaged in a mock boxing match with Gentleman Jim Corbett. | Source: Otto Moser Collection, curated by Cleveland State University Library Special Collections
